We had a great week in Wollochet! Thursday night we taught Boa S. He is 15 years old and has been coming to church, seminary, and young mens activities for about a month now. We taught him about the Plan of Salvation and asked him if he would pray about being baptized. He told us that he already had and that he wanted to be baptized on his birthday (the end of March). Then last night we taught him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We read him the baptismal interview questions and told him that we think he can get baptized before his birthday and become a Priest on his birthday. He thought that sounded like a great idea and told us that he would let us know when he thinks he should be baptized! He is so excited about the gospel and is just glowing! The young men are being really great friends to him and that is making all the difference. He is able to see how the gospel can bless his life and has so many great examples around him. We have been teaching him in the Elliots home. They are members in the ward and have been praying for almost 6 months now to be able to teach an investigator in their home. They have been so amazing! Their son was the one who invited Boa to come to church! It has been a great experience for them. When you pray for missionary opportunities and are diligently looking for them, God will put people in your path!
We weren’t able to teach Bill this week but on Saturdays we usually go over to Terry and Bills house for “Terry time”. We will usually read some scriptures have lunch and then play a game with Terry. When we got there Bill was at work and Terry said she had a surprise for us. She told us that Bill hasn’t been drinking coffee for a week!!!! She said she had noticed that the filter for the coffee maker was clean when she changed it and then that morning she looked in Bills mug and saw that it was hot water!! We haven’t talked to Bill about it yet but that was what was keeping him from being baptized before! Hopefully he will be baptized soon 🙂 I am so excited! All Terry has been able to talk about since she got baptized is getting sealed to Bill in the Salt Lake Temple. One step closer!!
I hope everyone had a great week! Pray for missionary opportunities every day and then write me and tell me about them! Until next week!
