Great start to another transfer! My new companion is Sister Horgesheimer 🙂 We have had a blast this week! We are both ready to work hard and see miracles this transfer! Dad actually worked for her dad when we first moved back to Utah when I was 8! Crazy!
This weekend Amy was baptized and confirmed 🙂 It was so special. She is such an amazing lady with such a strong testimony!! I feel so lucky to have had the chance to see the change that the gospel brought into her life. She is already getting names to take to the temple next month! Tonight we are having a family home evening with her and we will be talking about temples!!
We taught Will about the Word of Wisdom last night. It is incredible to see how the things we teach people ring true to them and they want to live by the commandments! I know that I’ve been able to see the blessings of living the Word of Wisdom in my life. I’ve been able to see a lot of families and lives ruined when people didn’t live this commandment. God knows best!
We met a lot of people this week who wanted to prove to us that our view of the nature of God was not right and could be proved wrong in the Bible. It is hard to help people understand how we have the knowledge that we do when they wont open their minds to more of Gods word. The Bible can be translated in so many different ways- that is why we have the Book of Mormon! It makes so many things clear for us that we couldn’t know with only the Bible. I was able to bear testimony of the Book of Mormon many times this week and promise people that there is more of Gods word on the earth. He still speaks to us today! In a couple weeks we will have the opportunity to hear the words of our modern day Prophet and his Apostles. They will be speaking to us! We need to listen, and we need to be prepared to follow their council. Also, have a question in your heart that you want answered and I know that you can have your question answered in Conference! If you don’t have a question, start praying that you can have one by the time Conference starts! Have a great week!
