Hey everyone!
Soooo…. Good news! I’m staying in Port Angeles with Sister Horgesheimer for another transfer πŸ™‚ We are way excited! Especially because we had a pretty good week with finding this past week.
Thursday was great. We had a lesson with one of our most progressing investigators- Shawnda. Her son has down syndrome so she was really interested to hear about our beliefs about the Plan of Salvation. Her son is having surgery on May 5th so we are praying that everything works out. After that lesson we knocked doors and got 3 new investigators and had 5 lessons! It was a miracle day! Our schedule is very full for this next week πŸ™‚ We are going to start this next transfer off running! So lots of prayers that we will be able to teach more this transfer!
Our other investigator, Erin, is what we call an eternal investigator. She has been investigating the church for over 3 years now. She is a very funny lady- super sarcastic. Anyways, we made some progress with her this week. She has felt very pressured by previous missionaries to get baptized. So we sat down with her and told her that our purpose as missionaries is to bring her closer to Jesus Christ. As she gains a testimony she will have a desire to be baptized and that will all be in her own time. So now that she isn’t feeling so pressured she has been reading the Book of Mormon with us and praying for an answer!
Yesterday at church we had tons of less active members there. We have been going to visit these people and inviting them to church and it was so much fun to see them there! Church is so important! We need to take that time to focus on what is most important in our lives and renew our covenants every week!
It was a great week! Thanks for all the birthday wishes- I am so blessed to have the best family and friends πŸ™‚ Love you!
